In the lower section of the SRD Table page, is the SIP Interface Table. This represents the SIP
Interface that is linked to the applicable SRD object in the MSBG. For the LAN-side, the
Network Interface parameter requires manual entry of ‘VoIP’ or an equivalent interface name.
The Application Type of ‘SBC’ is selected from the drop down menu options.
The TCP Port for SIP Signaling should be entered as ‘5060.’ This is the well known and default
port number for this purpose. However, the customer’s local network practices may dictate a
different port number entry. In the testing and certification process, TCP-based SIP Messaging
was used. Microsoft Lync does not support UDP-based traffic to the mediation server and PSTN
gateway. Should the customer desire to use TLS-based traffic between the MSBG and the Lync
Server, those port numbers should be the same in each end point device.
In a similar manner, the ‘WANSRD’ is named accordingly and assigned the Index value of ‘2.’
This SRD object is also set to ‘Anchor Media’ for the Internal SRD Media Anchoring field. The
assigned Sever is configured with Index ‘2’ and linked to the ‘MetaSwitch.’ The Proxy Set ID is
‘2’. The Proxy Keep Alive parameter is set to use the SIP Options (180) messages.
